"I VANT to DWINK Your BLOOD!!!!" Sorry, I just had to do that. Transylvania is the home of "Dracula." The character dracula is actually modeled after the Transylvania ruler, Vlad the Impaler. He was not a nice man. There is no concrete evidence that he had the ability to turn into a bat. But remember, vampires are very tricky.
Romania I think is found in southeastern Europe bordering the Black Sea, while Transyvania will be found in northwestern Romania, in the Transylvania Alps. Perfect for Bats.
Transylvania, once part of Hungary, has been ruled one time or other by all the European powers.
It would be cool though to walk into a rustic "gift shop" in a Transylvania city. Quickly turn towards the merchant, covering half your face with your coat and saying. "I VANT to DWINK Your BLOOD!!!!"
That would be cool. But what do I know, I've never been there!
