Perth, Australia

You might find this city in SW Australia on the Swan River. The city of almost one and a half milliion, is the Capital of the state of Western Australia.

Strangely, 3 out of 4 people in Western Australia live in Perth, one of the most isolated capital cities in the world.

Founded in 1829, the population boosted in 1850 by the arrival of 10,000 laborers, convict laborers. They also had their own goldrush in the 1890's. Perth is named after a city in Scotland.

The modern skyline we see today was mainly constructed in the 1980's. So I've heard. I've never been there.
