AN: Now this one has been one of my favorites since I saw it. I'm a huge
sucker for 'Harm saves the world from terrorists.' And Bud was great in
this too.

"Has Harm ever lied to you?" Those words kept running through Mac's
head. And her respnose, "He's misled me." Yeah, he has misled me, but
he has never lied to me. Not like everyone else in her life.

When he, Bud, and Josh had been on that frigate, she had been concerned
for them. That Bud wouldn't make it back to make up with Harriet. That
Josh's life would be cut short by men with nothing to loose and
everything to gain. But no way to really make it happen. But mostly
she had been worried that Harm would be taken from her before they had
had a chance to explore whatever it was between them.

She had gotten the feeling that this time, Annie wasn't going to forgive
him. Not that she really cared that much anyway. While she suspected
that Harm might have a penchant for weak women, Mac felt that Harm was
only involved with her out of some desire to relive what might have
been.

She knocked softly on his office door. She was surprised to see him
sitting quietly in his office staring at a picture.

"You okay?" She asked as she sat down in the chair across from his
desk.

"For a guy who has just been dumped, yes."

"Want to talk about it?"

"Not really."

"You know where I am." Mac rose out of her seat to leave him with his
thoughts. Of his doomed relationship, of his dead friend. She watched
as Harm sat down the picture of Harm and Luke at Luke's wedding. Harm
met her at the door and grabbed her hand.

"I knew you'd come through in the end, Harm. But I still couldn't help
but think that I was never going to see you again. That I was never
going to get to do this."

She reached up and kissed him softly on the cheek. He wrapped his arms
around her shoulders and pulled her to him, content to just hold her
until the time was right. When there were no terrorists, no jerk
boyfriends, no neurotic girlfriends, no crazed sci-fi fans.

The End
