In town is where we met that day,
We got along right away.
When our eyes first met,
All we could see...
Is each other,
Just you and me...

God open our hearts,
And we let each other in.
We knew at that moment,
That more than a friendship
Was about to begin.

We ate lunch in the park.
For hours we talked.
How time did fly,
It was almost dark.

The smiles, the laughter,
We shared that day,
In our hearts we know,
Is where they will stay.

It didn't take long before we knew,
That you were for me...
And I for you.

In our hearts we feel the love we share,
In our hearts is how much we care.
A love so true, A love so strong,
United together, is where we belong.

I wrote this poem
for my neice and her fiancee
