FX-COMP/DIF & RESET

To understand the use of making art with Paint/Reset, you should first read and experiment with Tigerlily's excellent tutorial "The Painted Comp"
If you haven't seen this tutorial yet, I guess I'll see you back here in about a week.
Nyght used these steps: Implode +.3 and then -.3,Comp/Dif (see page 1), with Paint/Reset. Image #2 is an unframed version of her manipulation,
As I looked at her steps I thought she had missed the effects of implode since I thought it only worked if you comped with the image you had immediately before imploding and that the interjection of reset would void the effects of small number, positive & negative implode.
So I retraced her steps trying the image with and without Implode, adding another effect each time. Oh Boy, was I wrong and what a whole new doorway she has opened! As it turns out, all that is voided is the black oval. The neonesque, or extreme highlight effect is still there.

When I compared images 1 & 2, I could see that there was a definate difference in the two of them, but it seemed minor so more experimenting was in order. From here on out, the differences become outstanding!

It seems the implode keeps the bg color in check even though, and in spite of the fact we are comping with the B&W original. This is so the opposite of how I thought this worked! Ain't it GREAT???
To each set of examples I will continue to add 1 more effect.

Just added Brightness 80 to #6
This is not limited to reset. It works as well with 2 different images comped together or any other manipulation as far as I know.
