Sherry's Frantic Fish Quilt

Sherry is a friend, of my friend, Helen's.

When Helen wrote and told me that Sherry was so ill and requested a quilt for her, she also told me how much Sherry enjoyed playing a game on the Computer, called

"Frantic Fish"

She also said that the Owner of the game, had given me permission to use it as a quilt. :-)

What fun I had making it and imagining Sherry's surprise, when she received it. :-)

This is a picture of the actual Game.

As you will see......I did have to take some "Artistic License" with it. Tee Hee

I started by finding fabric for the sky, water & sand

The Name of the Game

I then started making the shells, that the Fish go on, and marking them and glueing them onto the fabric.

I did my best to draw out the Tiki !! LOL

Notice the drawing on the left that I did from the picture of the game.

I then painted it with Fabric Paint

Those of you that play the Game, notice I got his foot kicking up. :-)))))

I got him sewn in place and then started on the Hut

I do hope Sherry and especially, Anna, will forgive my printing. :-))))

There's a Starfish in the lower left corner, so I went thru' the Kids Fabric and found this. :-)

The Finished Quilt picture got kind of blurry. :-(

I really got carried away with the Digital with this quilt !! LOL

So I've put more pics on a second page.

Oh Leona...... did talk to Sherry a few hours ago and the quilt got to her today.

She was bouncing off the walls and crying and totally in love with it.

I think she's invited everyone she knows to come see it.

Thank you for making Sherry the happiest I've seen her in a long time.

The day she received it she called me in tears she was so thrilled. I was thrilled just listening to Sherry, knowing your quilt had brought a bit of magic and happiness into Sherry's life.

Good morning Leona my name is Sherry Croak-Castaneda you recently made a Frantic Fish quilt for me as a request from Helen and Anna.

OMG I was like a little kid again at Christmas morning. I have not moved that fast or jumped up and down in years.

It is beautiful, it brought not only a smile but tears to my eyes.

This is fantastic. What a great job and yes I could feel the love in those stitches and the ladies that requested that you make it for me.

I cannot thank you enough for the time you took from your quilting to do this for me.

I am already spreading the word for money and "other" donations for your cause.

I will try real hard in the next couple of days to get a picture of it and e-mail to you.
