Lady Timeless, of LADY TIMELESS ILLUSIONS, has graciously allowed me to make a copy of her tute. Thank you for the time and effort that you put into making this tute for all of us to use.

BY LADY TIMELESS

I've seen many different ways to achieve this type of look, this one is merely my version. Of course you can experiment and create your own way of doing things. I have discovered many great techniques just by playing around and experimenting myself :-)).

.. I would suggest at least some knowledge of Image Magick before taking on this project but it might be easy enough for some newbies (hopefully).

You can pick up a blank white banner HERE just in case you need one. Now we are ready to begin.

Go to Image Magick place the url of the banner in the field and click "view".

At the top of the page click "Annotate" .

Fill in the following fields and nothing else.
Text: Cast a Shadow
Gravity: North Location: +0+90
Fill Color: gray25
(the higher the gray number the lighter the shade of gray - gray shades range from gray1 thru gray99.. gray1 being the darkest almost black)

Pointsize: 50
(in the gray jumpbox menu check off) font: Post Crypt
Now click "Annotate"

Here is your result

At the top of the page click "Effects"

Fill in the following fields
Parameter: 5.0x5.0
(red radio button) blur*

Now click "Effect"..

Here is your result

Now at the top of the page click "Annotate" again. All the fields should be just as they were before but if not fill them in again with the SAME attributes you just Annotated with..

Some people cast their shadow below or to the side but I move mine up and to the right slightly.

Change only the following fields
Gravity: North Location: +4+80
Fill Color: black

Now click "Annotate"..

Here the result

There are many possibilities with this and if you want to take it a step further try clicking "Annotate" again.

Change the following fields only.
Gravity: North Location: +4+77
Fill Color: gray40

Here is your result.

Now at the top of the page click "Output"

Check off format jpg

red radio button: single file

click "Output" then transload, upload or download

Now that wasn't too bad was it? You can also do dingbats this way. I found that solid thick fonts and dingbats work best. If you use outlined type dingbat pictures you may need to adjust the gravity a bit to get a nice look. Now go have some fun! :-))
