THE EAGLE CRIES

As he flies aound the sky,
Another plane comes flying by.
He sees the smoke and the heat from the fire,
Very curious he swoops below to inquire.
He hears the loud sirens roar,
Now nothing is the same as before.
Why this has happened no one understands,
Many heroes died in this great land.
On this day September 11th 2001,
This great nation finally became one.
No longer people of different color or race,
Something evil has happened by the look on our face.
Brothers, sisters, mothers fathers and children have lost their lives,
Teardrops form in this Eagle's eyes.
As he watches the second building fall,
Stares in amazement the American Flag still standing tall.
We reflect everyday since this whole thing began,
Proudly we stand together as AMERICANS!

TOGETHER!

United today we stand;
To fight for our freedoms in this great land.

Whether it be financial or full blown out war;
It's feedom from evil this world is fighting for.

There will be casualties an some deaths;

We must take back our freedoms and put the evil to rest!

For the world must stand together and show the evil they have not won;

The world must not forget what happened September 11th 2001.

From the west all the way to the far East;

Together we will conquer this unruly beast!

This evil network has caused so much destruction and pain;

Our heroes names will not go down in vain.

Why did this happen to such an outrageous degree?

Why, because they don't understand the beliefs of you and me.

Together as world we will stand tall;

Fighting for freedom and justice for all.

In the end we will have won;

We've put aside meaningless things and have become ONE!!

MY POEM~THE CANDLE~ WRITTEN BY:DAWN PATTERSON(LESTER)

The Candle

This candle was lit in remembrance of those who died.
A ribbon of red, white and blue around it has been tied.
A flame that will never go out;
That's not what America is about!

One candle symbolizing a nation united as one.
Yet, the battle of the war has not been won!
One man, who thought he could decide our fate;
Engraved in our memories a specific date.

A day where so much destruction , destroyed so many lives;
Now a nation of caution for a man we so despise.
Tearing us apart was in his mind;
Amazed because now he must hide!

The eagles are still soaring with our flags flying high;
On this day tears may fill our eyes!
The tribulations we have endured but we are not in despair;
Our heroes didn't die in vain, it's our FREEDOM they spared.

This candle eternally shall burn for each and everyone;
We are now a nation under GOD as one!
