so as we woke up from our sleep
we couldnt believe our eyes
was this just a tv movie
or invasion in our skys

we sat there in amazement
when the towers came crashing down
we watched all the fire and smoke
and didnt make a sound

we held our love ones closely
and told them that we cared
we didnt want to show them all
that we were really scared

now here it is one year later
some time has passed us by
