The effect was like a ceiling inset with diamonds. Not just the sounds of sailing boats are different, the below-deck lighting is as well. Flush deck schooners without much of a deckhouse allowed daylight into the cabins below through deck mounted glass diamond "windows". Imagine the creaking sounds of the hull and mast, the sound of the boom swinging to starboard, and the shadow of the big mainsail crossing the deck. The brilliant light magically illuminating a myriad of swirling dust specks. When confronted with an odd production batch of prisms with a color between green and blue, we felt the error needed to be perpetuated. Aren't some of the best things created accidentally? These handmade aquamarine prisms are mysterious and beautiful like a pristine mountain lake reflected in the sun.
