HTML FOR MAKING A SLIDE SHOW
WITH CONTINUOUS MUSIC IN FRAMES
To make a slide show, you must make a starting page, a separate
page for every slide in the show, and a finishing page to return
the viewer to wherever you want them to go. What follows are the
codes for each of these three pages. To create your own show, you
should cut, copy, and paste the codes onto each page, changing the
REQUIRED INFORMATION on each page as you go.
THIS IS THE CODE FOR THE FIRST PAGE. IT WILL PUT YOUR GUESTS INTO FRAMES AND START THE SHOW:
THIS IS THE CODE FOR EACH OF YOUR SLIDE
PAGES:
NOTE THAT THE NUMBER "4" REPRESENTS THE NUMBER OF SECONDS THIS SLIDE WILL STAY ON THE SCREEN ONCE IT IS COMPLETELY LOADED. YOU MAY CHANGE THIS NUMBER IF YOU LIKE.
REPEAT THE ABOVE CODE FOR EVERY SLIDE YOU WANT IN YOUR SLIDE SHOW
THIS IS THE CODE FOR THE FINISHING PAGE OF YOUR SLIDE SHOW:
NOTE THAT THE NUMBER "15" REPRESENTS THE NUMBER OF
SECONDS THIS SLIDE WILL STAY ON THE SCREEN AFTER IT COMPLETELY
LOADS. YOU MAY CHANGE THIS NUMBER IF YOU LIKE.
Finally, to break your viewers out of frames, Place this code just
before the /head tag on the page to which you are transporting
them:
That's it. If you follow the codes and fill in the information
where called for, you should have no problems. Good Luck.
If you intend to make a slide show with the PageBuilder program of WebTV, please refer to Ken Dine's excellent frameset tutorial.
Our thanks to Rob Holloway of Rob's Motown Midis for teaching us
how to make our first slide show, and to Jerry Hollingshead for his
patience in solving some peculiar coding problems. Thanks
