Memories Of Home (Randy Dyke) video

I left my home in Newfoundland so many years ago,
To roam this wide world over in search of fame and gold;
But of all the places I have seen there's none so fair and grand,
As a little home down by the sea back home in Newfoundland.

My memories they bring me back when I was just a boy,
To go out fishing with me dad to me was such a joy;
And to help him fish upon the sea as his father did before,
For I know those days of long ago will never be no more.

Oh Newfoundland, oh Newfoundland, you are the world to me,
My memories keep coming back of my days upon the sea;
When I'd go fishing with me dad along the rugged shore,
For I know those days of long ago will never be no more.

And now I'm going back again to the place that I love so,
Where my dear old mother waits for me as she did so long ago;
Just to see her dear old face once more with a smile so sweet and grand,
For there's no place in this world to me like my home in Newfoundland.

Oh Newfoundland, oh Newfoundland, you are so dear to me,
My memories keep coming back of my days upon the sea;
When I'd go fishing with me dad along the rugged shore,
For I know those days of long ago will never be no more.

Oh Newfoundland, oh Newfoundland, you are so dear to me,
My memories keep coming back of my days upon the sea;
When I'd go fishing with me dad along the rugged shore,
For I know those days of long ago will never be no more.
