When winter comes around,
and you're out around the town,
You're meetin' different people every day;
You're all dressed up and warm,
and you don't give a darn,
But guaranteed you'll hear somebody say:

How's ya gettin' on now? Some cold.
It's some cold today, boy.
We're havin' a freeze, for sure.
B'ys, by the wind of them
they'll cut the skin right outta ya.
Look, I'm right blue in the face, sure.
I wish this dyin' winter was over.

Everyone keeps talkin' 'bout the weather,
We talk about it every night and day;
Everytime we meet someone, no,
no matter where they're from,
You'll nod your head and say:
How's ya gettin' on today?
Then you'll talk about the weather.

Springtime has come,
and the snow is startin' to run,
The ice out in the pond is turning black;
We're having longer days,
winter clothes is packed away,
And you're out with just a tee-shirt on your back.

How's ya gettin' on now?
Alright, my son. Wonderful warm day today.
Yes, my snow's gettin' some hot today,
I guarantee ya.
Yeah, a few more days like this, you know,
And the snow will be all gone. 'Bout time, too.
Hope we have a good summer.

Everyone keeps talkin' 'bout the weather,
We talk about it every night and day;
Everytime we meet someone,
no matter where they're from,
You'll nod your head and say:
How's ya gettin' on today?
Then you'll talk about the weather.

Summertime is here, sunshine everywhere,
You can smell the old barbecue for miles;
It's the last part of June,
the flowers are in bloom,
And people passing by wave and smile.

How's ya gettin' on now?
Come out to be a boil.
Why it's hot enough to boil oil
right out of your head, my son.
Me face is all burned up, and the flies,
my thunderin', millions.
They got me ate alive.
Wish this time summer was over.

Everyone keeps talkin' 'bout the weather,
We talk about it every night and day;
Everytime we meet someone,
no matter where they're from,
You'll nod your head and say:
How's ya gettin' on today?
Then you'll talk about the weather.

Now the fall has come around,
the leaves are fallin' down,
The early morning chill is in the air;
Oh, the huntin' season's on,
grab your moosin' gun,
It's time to get a moose and fill some snares.

How's ya gettin on now? Man, oh man,
is this rain ever gonna stop?
I been to camp now for about five days.
Not fit to go for the door.
Radio said it's gonna turn cold tonight, though.
Might get a bit of snow.
Hope so. That's in the sky now.

Everyone keeps talkin' 'bout the weather,
We talk about it every night and day;
Everytime we meet someone,
no matter where they're from,
You'll nod your head and say:
How's ya gettin' on today?
Then you'll talk about the weather.
Then you'll talk about the weather.
Then you'll talk about the weather.

Ten months of winter and
two months of banned SkiDoo.
