The North Atlantic Ocean (David Blackmore) video

Oh, the North Atlantic Ocean
is so dangerous and cold,
Many men have gone down to the sea,
their stories never told;
Those brave men will be remembered
in the minds of those that know,
The North Atlanic Ocean
had beckoned them to go.

Many men were lost and died
to the perils of the sea,
Their stories never told in books
but kept in memory;
But if a story is not written
it will slowly disappear,
Lost in time forever
like they were never here.

So sad to think that others
in the future will not know,
Of their relations and their loved ones
dying in the sea below;
How the North Atlantic Ocean
claimed their bodies for its own,
Taking lives from those who loved them,
leaving families all alone.

Tragedies and shipwrecks
in the ocean do abound,
And the North Atlantic Ocean
creates hardship all around;
The lives of brave young seaman
we will never see no more,
Died at the mercy of the sea
while loved ones grieve on shore.

We say a prayer to God above
and pray they're in his hands,
Husbands, sons and loved ones
who once walked upon this land;
We pray they see a better place
than what they knew at sea,
Where the waters are serene and calm
and peaceful as can be.

It's so sad to think that others
in the future will not know,
Of their relations and their loved ones
dying in the sea below;
How the North Atlantic Ocean
claimed their bodies for its own,
Taking lives from those who loved them,
leaving families all alone.

Taking lives from those who loved them,
leaving families all alone.
