Mother (Bernie Sheaves) video

Last night I was talking to Mother,
she told me she was doing quite well;
But as we talked longer,
a change in her voice like it fell.

She asked how we were doing,
I said the family is doing just fine;
Then, out of nowhere, she asked,
"Why did he leave me behind?"

I knew she was talking about Daddy,
since he passed she's been living alone;
Without him she must be lonely,
but her feelings will never be known.

Mother, you're my darling mother,
my feelings for you run high;
You're my morning sun,
the star in my evening sky.

Sweet as a sweet that's my mother,
too much pride to even call;
She'd rather do without it,
she was never a burden at all.

Mother, always remember,
you never have to ask twice;
Whatever you want I will do it,
you're the one that's given me life.

Mother, you're my darling mother,
my feelings for you run high;
You're my morning sun,
the star in my evening sky.

I knew she was feeling much better,
when our call came to an end;
With a promise of dinner on Sunday,
to call every now and then.

Mother, you're my darling mother,
my feelings for you run high;
You're my morning sun,
the star in my evening sky.
You're my morning sun,
I'll love you till I die.
