The Burning (Shawn Lidster) video

They called my grandad Uncle Bernie;
When he played a tune you could feel the burning,
In his soul, in his soul.

And my grandma she liked to sing,
Songs about the old country;
She had a yearning, in her soul.

Sometimes I can feel
Them watching over me;
Sometimes I can hear their sweet melody,
And I get the burning.

So I pick up this old guitar,
Pretend I'm playing in a smokey bar;
And I get the burning, in my soul.

Now and then I get the rhythm right;
Feels good and it sounds like
I got the yearning, in my soul, my soul.

Sometimes I can feel
Them watching over me;
Sometimes I can hear their sweet melody,
And I get the burning.

Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooo-ooo,
Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooo-ooo.

Well, it's a job to know what to do,
Follow your heart, to yourself be true;
It sounds easy, but it's hard, so hard.

Sometimes I can feel
Them watching over me;
Inside my heart I hold their memory;
That's when I hear their sweet melody,
And I get the burning.

Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooo-ooo.

Now, someday when I'm dead and gone,
I hope my sons hear this song,
And they feel the burning,
In their soul.
