Here I sit so far away from my Newfie home,
Asking why I ever wanted to roam;
Sittin' in my kitchen, thinking of the day,
When will I see my hometown by the bay?
So like so many before me, I left my Newfie home,
Lookin' for the answers and that pot of gold;
But the pot of gold was never found, it gets harder every day,
And I miss my hometown by the bay.
Where my friends and me run around with little else to do,
But we always seem to find a place with a keg of good homebrew;
And through all the songs and laughter we knew everything's okay,
How I miss the good times in my hometown by the bay.
And I'd like to thank everyone who helped along the way,
Those who let me sing my songs, heard what I had to say;
So this song is for all my Newfie friends who ever felt this way,
Those who miss their hometowns by the bay.
Where my friends and me run around with little else to do,
But we always seem to find a place with a keg of good homebrew;
And through all the songs and laughter we knew everything's okay,
How I miss the good times in my hometown by the bay.
Yes, I miss all the good times in my hometown by the bay.
