Song For Ross (Rex Hemeon)

Life is such a mystery, this world's a funny place,
I lost a special friend this year
that no one can replace;
I'll never see his smile or hear his voice again,
Heaven gained an angel but I lost my best friend.

He had a way to make me smile
whenever things looked bad,
He'd always want to share with me
anything he had;
He'd give his heart or anything
to help his fellow man,
Heaven gained an angel but I lost my best friend.

His years were short in this old world,
I often wonder why,
A man with all his wit and charm
would have to say good-bye;
I'd give all I own in this old world
to see him once again,
Heaven gained an angel but I lost my best friend.

He'll never be forgotten
by his loved ones left behind,
His friends will always remember
he was one of a kind;
When my time comes to leave this world,
I'll see him once again,
I'll be looking at an angel
but I'll be with my best friend.
