Newfoundland Isle (Ronnie Rose) video

I travelled this country from the East to the West,
But none can compare to the place I love best;
We're surrounded by water and grass oh so green,
A picture to me but to others a dream.

To wake in the morning to the sky oh so blue,
To smell the fresh air is what I long to do;
I think of those I left so far behind,
Away from the beauty of my Newfoundland Isle.

To see little boats out there in the bay,
It's heaven on earth here forever I'll stay;
Where the people are so friendly
they greet you with a smile,
It's heaven on earth on my Newfoundland Isle.

As I stand here and look out over the bay,
The waves on the water take me far away;
But here is where I long to be,
This beautiful island means heaven to me.

Though the fishery had failed us
so many moved away,
But just like me their hearts are here in the bay;
Where the water is so pure and the air is so clean,
A picture of beauty, to others a dream.

How often have you heard so many say,
The grass looks greener when you're far away;
But just like me and so many more,
They always return to their Newfoundland shore.

To see little boats out there in the bay,
It's heaven on earth here forever I'll stay;
Where the people are so friendly
they greet you with a smile,
It's heaven on earth here on my Newfoundland Isle.
It's heaven on earth here on my Newfoundland Isle.
