Come all ye wage earners and listen to me,
If you work for your dollars on land or on sea;
The living is hard and the pickings are small,
And to make both ends meet takes just about all.
There are bad days ahead and days that are kind,
So don't spend all you earn but bear this in mind:
An anchor to windward will hold you secure,
And wind in your jib keeps you off a lee shore.
