Memories Of Grand Bank (Chuck Simms) video

I recall the streets of Grand Bank
where I grew up as a child,
The little town was so safe
you grow up free and wild;
Folks here stuck together
through the laughter and the pain,
It's too bad the days of childhood
never come again.

Prosperity for Grand Bank
was taken from the sea,
And some brave men who challenged her
have paid the penalty;
Folks here faced their hardships
with strength and dignity,
And their struggles made them stronger
than most towns will ever be.

Memories of Grand Bank
come back so clear to me,
I can see all the friends I knew
in my memory;
Places that we hung out,
the friends I left behind,
Will be with me forever
somewhere within my mind.

I remember all the soccer games
we watched the Gee Bees play,
Quiet walks along the beach
on a warm summer's day;
Dances at the theatre
or maybe the legion hall,
Gave all those happy memories
that I can still recall.

Memories of Grand Bank
come back so clear to me,
I can see all the friends I knew
in my memory;
Places that we hung out,
the friends I left behind,
Will be with me forever
somewhere within my mind.
Will be with me forever.
somewhere within my mind.
