Never Sail (Bernie Sheaves) video

There's a ship in our town,
the Liberty's a-dock,
Her anchors are out,
her engines are stopped;
She never caught a fish
and I guess she never will,
The gallant little ship
they call the Never Sail.

She's been boarded by people
from all walks of life,
Sailors, soldiers,
husbands and wives;
Bricklayers, undertakers,
fishermen as well,
They've all walked the deck
of the ship that never sails.

She don't any more
or she don't ever less,
Built not to sail,
but built for to last;
Oh, we love 'er and we keep 'er
and I guess we always will,
The boat that never floats,
the ship that never sails.

She's the pride of our town,
the young and old alike,
They all gather 'round her
on a summer night;
We listen to the music,
kids and the thrills,
Enjoyed in the evening
aboard the Never Sail.

She don't any more
or she don't ever less,
Built not to sail,
but built for to last;
Oh, we love 'er and we keep 'er
and I guess we always will,
The boat that never floats,
the ship that never sails.

She don't any more
or she don't ever less,
Built not to sail,
but built for to last;
Oh, we love 'er and we keep 'er
and I guess we always will,
The boat that never floats,
the ship that never sails.
The boat that never floats,
the ship that never sails.
