Stories 'N' Lore (Craig Anstey) video

When men lived off the land and water,
With calloused hands and skin like leather,
And they raised their sons,
and they raised their daughters,
Off love 'n' faith and simple pleasures;
And women then were filled with passion,
Love that you nor I could imagine,
Everything they had was treasured and rationed,
And the winters were colder than we could fathom.

When music and fables sparked imagination,
And the world seemed bigger
than our comprehension,
Sparse are the ruins of our fathers before,
And there's nothing to remind us
but stories 'n' lore.

When children spent their days outdoors,
Each night they were spent
from their play 'n' chores;
The respect that they had is known no more,
And the lives that they lived
now just stories 'n' lore.

When music and fables sparked imagination,
And the world seemed bigger
than our comprehension,
Sparse are the ruins of our fathers before,
And there's nothing to remind us
but stories 'n' lore.
