The winding roads and forests, the rivers and the sand,
Are all part of the beauty you'll find in Newfoundland;
The crying of the seagull, and the roaring of the sea,
It bids a fair fond welcome in perfect harmony.
There are no factories or skyscrapers to mar our native land,
For fishing is the industry on which most of us depend;
Fishing boats fill the harbour, and the horses still run free,
There's such a world of beauty for everyone to see.
So for those of you who have to roam away from your native soil,
Just bear in mind from where you came to Newfoundland and all;
Remember that a Newfie you're always bound to be,
So always be proud to represent your island in the sea.
