Hungover Again (Driftwood Band) video

Way back in history about three thousand BC,
The hangover was discovered by man;
That's when he first learned to make wine,
Lord, it must have blew his mind,
Or he would have put a stop to it back then;
But man went on from there,
To make whiskey, rum and beer,
And all the rest adds to the misery,
Of folks like you and me of this sad society.
Oh, Lord, I'm hungover again.

I'm hungover again,
I can't remember where I've been,
Or what I might have said or done last night;
I can't open up my eyes as I lay here paralyzed,
Oh, Lord, I'm hungover again.

Now, drinking is done by almost everyone,
Everybody's on a big mad tear;
Look at the shape we're in,
The whole damn world is in a spin,
It's crazy but no one seems to care;
For it keeps going right on,
Even though we know it's wrong,
We'll keep drinking as long as we're still here,
And in the morning dawn we'll sigh,
Good God, it makes me wonder why.
Oh, Lord, I'm hungover again.

I'm hungover again,
I can't remember where I've been,
Or what I might have said or done last night;
I can't open up my eyes as I lay here paralyzed,
Oh, Lord, I'm hungover again.

I'm starting to dress when it's time to go to bed,
This self-inflicted sickness I can't take;
With the shivers and the shakes,
Oh, the quivers and the aches,
I'm afraid some morning I'm gonna wake up dead.
And on that fatal day I can hear the good Lord say,
Hey, son, where in heaven's name have you been?
Will He send me on my way
when I look at Him and say,
Dear Lord, I'm hungover again.

I'm hungover again,
I can't remember where I've been,
Or what I might have said or done last night;
I can't open up my eyes as I lay here paralyzed,
Oh, Lord, I'm hungover again.
Oh, Lord, I'm hungover again.
Oh, Lord, I'm hungover again.
