Ooh, I wonder when this night is over,
Will I find the words she'll understand;
That it don't mean a thing, it was just a fling,
These things seem to happen to me.

When I get home, I swear, I'll never leave her,
I'm just gonna stay right by her side;
Her arms will always be the only ones for me,
Oh, I hope that she will still be there.

Three long days and nights
and I ain't seen my baby,
I've never been away this long before;
I had too much to drink
and so little time to think,
But I miss her, ooh, I miss her.

When I get home, I swear, I'll never leave her,
I'm just gonna stay right by her side;
Her arms will always be the only ones for me,
Oh, I hope that she will still be there.

Three long days and nights
and I ain't seen my baby,
I've never been away this long before;
I had too much to drink
and so little time to think,
But I miss her, ooh, I miss her.

When I get home, I swear, I'll never leave her,
I'm just gonna stay right by her side;
Her arms will always be the only ones for me,
Oh, I hope that she will still be there.

####.... The Keatniks from their self-titled 1965 album, The Keatniks (Melbourne AM4011) ....####

The original members of The Keatniks were Maurice (Mo) Caines [1921-2005] of Portland Creek, NL - lead singer and rhythm guitar; Basil Haire - percussion; Williams (Bill) Keating - lead guitar; and Pierre Lajeunesse - piano. Three Long Days And Nights made the music charts, although the band's 45 rpm single, That's My Girl was considered by many to be the best of their original songs.

The Keatniks was a local Labrador City band which entertained at the Ashuanipi Social Club, designed and constructed by the Iron Ore Company of Canada. The building was the only social club in town until the mid-1970s when it changed hands several times and eventually became the Ashuanipi Teen Center.
