I was born in Goose Bay back in '61,
My father moved the family when I was only young,
But in my heart I always knew that I'd return once more,
'Cause I was proud that I was born a Son of Labrador.
Through the years I've felt the call to go back home again,
Prior obligations stopped me time and time again,
But some day I'll see the majesty of her mountains and her shores,
'Cause I'm proud that I was born a Son of Labrador.
I long to see the beauty looking down from Mokami,
And walk along the valley like my father before me;
I dream of my returning and I want it more and more,
'Cause I'm proud to be a Son of Labrador
I know that memories can fade as time keeps passing by,
And some may say my dreams are not but castles in the sky;
But I know that what awaits me there is what I'm looking for,
'Cause I'm proud that I was born a Son of Labrador.
I long to see the beauty looking down from Mokami,
And walk along the valley like my father before me;
I dream of my returning and I want it more and more,
'Cause I'm proud to be a Son of Labrador
I long to see the beauty looking down from Mokami,
And walk along the valley like my father before me;
I dream of my returning and I want it more and more,
'Cause I'm proud to be a Son of Labrador
