None Can Compare (George C Giles)

When you sing about islands you think of the sea,
Breathtaking beauty where the seagulls fly free;
Where nature's done wonders with great loving care,
We're proud of our island, there's none can compare.

Though I travelled all over and roamed far and wide,
I've always come back to my home with great pride;
Came back for a visit, how I wish I could stay,
But I know in my heart that someday I may.

When you sing about islands
there's none can compare,
To the one we call home
with its memories so dear;
With it's high, rugged mountains
and it's low rugged shore,
It's the place we were born,
it's the place we adore.

It's Ramea Island of which I do sing,
Memories of my childhood it so freshly brings;
Memories of my friends now, both young and old,
Memories more precious than silver and gold.

Now, friends, as you travel, travel with care,
Remember our island , there's none can compare;
Speak of her softly, with love and with trust,
For you know that our island is God's gift to us.

When you sing about islands
there's none can compare,
To the one we call home
with its memories so dear;
With it's high, rugged mountains
and it's low rugged shore,
It's the place we were born,
it's the place we adore.

So, Lord, hear my call and please answer my prayers,
Look after our island, there's none can compare;
Take care of its people, they're all friends of mine,
As we look to the future in these uncertain times.

When you sing about islands
there's none can compare,
To the one we call home
with its memories so dear;
With it's high, rugged mountains
and it's low rugged shore,
It's the place we were born,
it's the place we adore.

It's the place we were born,
it's the place we adore.
