Spoken: For our troops in Afghanistan....
He's barely eighteen and he's off to war,
Some people ask, "What's he fighting for?"
He enlisted in service to become a man,
And now he must fight in Afghanistan.
He knows how important it is to be free,
And to live without fear in this great country;
And he knows that the future is now in his hands,
That's why he must fight in Afghanistan.
He's a modern day hero that we can't deny,
Only God makes the judge if he lives or he dies;
But if prayers make a difference, and I know they can,
He'll come back safe from Afghanistan.
He just received orders that his company,
Would soon say goodbye to friends and family;
To get on a plane to that foreign land,
And go off to fight in Afghanistan.
