We'll meet again, my friend,
somewhere down the line,
Who knows where or when,
another place, another time;
We'll share a few old songs,
memories on my mind,
Yes, I know we'll meet again, my friend,
somewhere down the line.

Another show is over,
another day gone by,
With good friends all around me,
how the time goes by;
It's hard to find the words I want to say,
but, friends, I'll try,
God bless you all and keep you,
till we meet again, goodbye.

We'll meet again, my friend,
somewhere down the line,
Who knows where or when,
another place, another time;
We'll share a few old songs,
memories on my mind,
Yes, I know we'll meet again,
another place, another time.

Another show is over,
another day gone by,
With good friends all around me,
how the time goes by;
It's hard to find the words I want to say,
but, friends, I'll try,
God bless you all and keep you,
till we meet again, goodbye.

Oh, we'll meet again, my friend,
somewhere down the line,
Who knows where or when,
another place, another time;
We'll share a few old songs,
memories on my mind,
Yes, I know we'll meet again, my friend,
somewhere down the line.

####.... Ross Parker and Hughie Charles (born Charles Hugh Owen Ferry, 24 Jul 1907 in Reddish, Stockport, Cheshire, England) ....####
Variant of a popular 1939 song made famous by British singer Vera Lynn [b.1917] (#29 in the United States in 1954). The original song is one of the most famous songs of the Second World War era, and resonated with soldiers going off to fight and with their families and sweethearts.

This variant arranged and recorded by Chuck Simms from Grand Bank, Burin Peninsula, NL, and Wince Saunders, originally from Newfoundland, now living in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. They recorded it as the Port & Starboard Duo (I'se Da Bye's, trk#15, 2008 CD, Independently produced and distributed).

A variant was also arranged and recorded by Anchors Aweigh of Rocky Harbour, NL, with lead vocal by Wade Jones of Anchors Aweigh. (Time On The Bay, trk#12, 2005, produced by Louis McDonald, Rocky Harbour, NL).
