Halls Bay Fisherman

When I was young, my work begun.
I'm standing on the pier.
And I look west onto the cape.
The fishing boats are near.

Now I am... a fisherman.
Across that glistening sea...
I will always be... a fisherman.

Now I'm in my prime.
There's not much time for leisure and for rest.
I start my day at the break of dawn
And don't return till dusk.

Now I am... a fisherman.
Across that glistening sea...
I will always be... a fisherman.

In my old age, my memory fades.
There's things I can't recall.
Lest I forget the days of old,
I fished upon the Halls.

Now I am... a fisherman.
Across that glistening sea...
I will always be... a fisherman.

Now I am... a fisherman.
Across that glistening sea...
I will always be... a fisherman.
