Accordion Man

Click Here for guitar tabs.

I still recall those happy times, it seems like yesterday,
We would sit close by his side and listen to him play:
Lukey's Boat, I'se The B'y, and that old Galway Bay,
Accordion man, I can still hear you play.

Every Sunday afternoon he'd play those gospel songs,
We would sit close by his side and we would sing along;
From Monday to Saturday he'd play those jigs and reels,
Accordion man, how good you made us feel.

I wish I had the power now to change the course of time,
I'd live again those happy days with that friend of mine;
Just to hear him play one more of those old-time melodies,
Accordion man, play again for me.
