Here's To Life (The Punters) video

Oh, meet me down at The Ship tonight
at half past eight,
There's a girl that's caught my fancy,
so be sure not to be late;
She's the fairest one I've ever seen,
she's got me all aglow,
And I'd love to have a dance with her,
and get it on the go.

So, here's to life,
sometimes it will get you down,
Don't be lying in the corner,
just get up and jump around;
Hold onto every moment,
let your heart be your guide,
Raise a glass to the ones you love,
we're leaving on the tide.

Ah, swinging on the dance floor,
she's such a lovely sight,
And the boys will stare and wonder
if they'll take her home tonight;
Her spirit is so wild and free,
you can see it in her smile,
And I wish that I could be the one
to walk her down the aisle.

So here's to life,
sometimes it will get you down,
Don't be lying in the corner,
just get up and jump around;
Hold onto every moment,
let your heart be your guide,
Raise a glass to the ones you love,
we're leaving on the tide.

We're leaving on the tide.

Life is short and sweet,
it keeps changing every day,
Wish that it could always be,
just like it is today;
Don't think about tomorrow,
'cause it may never come,
Put your arms around me now
and tell me I'm the one.

So here's to life!

So, here's to life,
sometimes it will get you down,
Don't be lying in the corner,
just get up and jump around;
Hold onto every moment,
let your heart be your guide,
Raise a glass to the ones you love....

Here's to life,
sometimes it will get you down,
Don't be lying in the corner,
just get up and jump around;
Hold onto every moment,
let your heart be your guide,
Raise a glass to the ones you love....

Here's to life!

Here's to life!

The Ship Pub, formerly known as the Ship Inn, is a popular pub among St John's young and hip crowd. The venue features live music most nights of the week and often hosts parties and events occurring as part of local festivals. The food offered is traditional pub fare and patrons not up for music can play some pool. The Ship is a hangout for lots of local characters, many in the arts, and has many good imported and local brews on tap. They have bands on Friday and Saturday nights (occasionally folk rock bands), and they usually have Thursday night live music as well.
