Oh, Labrador is the place we adore,
Where frost fills the air and the cold north winds roar;
Up in the northland so strong and so free,
I know in my heart that's where I long to be.
The Northern Lights gleam in the dark starry sky,
And sparkle off castles on the Mealy Mountains so high;
The land holds the livelihood for me and for you,
From the tiny brook's trout to the great caribou.
Oh, Labrador is the place we adore,
Where frost fills the air and the cold north winds roar;
Up in the northland so strong and so free,
I know in my heart that's where I long to be.
The land has many forests and rocks of all kinds,
Where high above sea level iron ore is mined;
Fish in the waters, and fur on the land,
You can breathe the fresh air as you walk on the sand,
Oh, Labrador is the place we adore,
Where frost fills the air and the cold north winds roar;
Up in the northland so strong and so free,
I know in my heart that's where I long to be.
