Big Ole Newfie Dog (Michael T Wall)

He's black and he's big and he sure likes to give
His love to the kids of Newfoundland;
He's gentle and kind and he spends his time
With me and the kids of Newfoundland.

So if you're down my way and get the urge to play
In the beauty of the ocean and the sand;
Take your children out to play in the coves of the bay
With this big ole Newfie dog from Newfoundland.

He's just a big ole Newfie dog from Newfoundland,
And he romps and stomps all day in the sand;
And he plays with boys and girls of my dear homeland,
He's just a big ole Newfie dog from Newfoundland.
He's just a big ole Newfie dog from Newfoundland.

From Wikipedia:
Newfoundland - a working dog that can be black, brown, gray, or white and black (Landseer). They were originally bred and used as a working dog for fishermen in the Dominion of Newfoundland (which is now part of Canada). They are known for their giant size, intelligence, tremendous strength, calm dispositions and loyalty. Newfoundland dogs excel at water rescue/lifesaving because of their muscular build, thick double coat, webbed feet, and innate swimming abilities.
