I woke up this morning, I had slept on the floor,
I opened one eye, there were beer cans galore;
My head, oh, she pounded, my whole body shook,
Well I nearly got sick when I got up to look,
At the burns on the canvas, the stains on the mat,
Sure, there wasn't a window where one should be at;
There was beer in the dish that was left for the cat,
But oh, what a wonderful time.

So you grab the dust pan and I'll grab the mop,
And you clean the bottom while I clean the top;
Oh, break out the Lestoil and tear up a rag,
To clean up after the time.

I went to the kitchen to grab me a drink,
There were glasses all rottin', heaped up in the sink;
There was half bowls of moose soup all strewn 'round the place,
And sure, half eaten cold plates took up all the space.
There was unopened homebrew still left from the tear,
Three odd pairs of shoes left, some strange underwear;
An accordion still smoking, a part in the chair,
But oh, what a wonderful time.

So you grab the dust pan and I'll grab the mop,
And you clean the bottom while I clean the top;
Oh, break out the Lestoil and tear up a rag,
To clean up after the time.

Then I went to the bathroom to grab me a scrub,
We were all out of arse wipe, still beer in the tub;
Now the toilet was plugged up and filled to the rim,
And sure, bluebottle flies were lined up for a swim.
Well the mirror was broken, the shower curtain tore,
I don't think 'twas water that wetted the floor;
Well some unpatient knocker left holes in the door,
But oh, what a wonderful time.

So you grab the dust pan and I'll grab the mop,
And you clean the bottom while I clean the top;
Oh, break out the Lestoil and tear up a rag,
To clean up after the time.

So you grab the dust pan and I'll grab the mop,
And you clean the bottom while I clean the top;
Oh, break out the Lestoil and tear up a rag,
To clean up after....
To clean up after the time.

Intro: [G] [C] [G] [D] [G] [G] [C] [G] [Em] [D] [G]

I [G] woke up this morning, I had slept on the floor,
I [C] opened one [G] eye, there were [Em] beer cans [D] galore;
My [G] head, oh, she pounded, my whole body shook,
Well I [C] nearly got [G] sick when I [Em] got up to [D] look,
At the [C] burns on the canvas, the stains on the [G] mat,
Sure, there [Em] wasn't a window where one should [D] be at;
There was [G] beer in the dish that was [C] left for the [G] cat,
But [C] oh, what a [D] wonderful [G] time.

Chorus:
So [G] you grab the dust pan and [C] I'll grab the [G] mop,
And [D] you clean the bottom while [G] I clean the top;
Oh, [G] break out the [C] Lestoil and [G] tear up a [Em] rag,
To [D] clean up after the [G] time.

I [G] went to the kitchen to [C] grab me a [G] drink,
There were [D] glasses all rottin', heaped [G] up in the sink;
There was [G] half bowls of moose-soup all [C] strew 'round the [G] place,
And sure, [Em] half-eaten cold plates took up all the [D] space.
There was [C] unopened homebrew still left from the [G] tear,
Three [Em] odd pairs of shoes left, some strange [D] underwear;
An [G] accordion still smoking, [C] a part in the [G] chair,
But [C] oh, what a [D] wonderful [G] time.

Chorus:
So [G] you grab the dust pan and [C] I'll grab the [G] mop,
And [D] you clean the bottom while [G] I clean the top;
Oh, [G] break out the [C] Lestoil and [G] tear up a [Em] rag,
To [D] clean up after the [G] time.

Then I [G] went to the bathroom to [C] grab me a [G] scrub,
We were [D] all out of arse wipe, still [G] beer in the tub;
Now the [G] toilet was plugged up and [C] filled to the [G] rim,
And sure [Em] blue bottle flies were lined up for a [D] swim.
Well the [C] mirror was broken, the shower curtain [G] tore,
I [Em] don't think 'twas water that wetted the [D] floor;
Well some [G] unpatient knocker left [C] holes in the [G] door,
But [C] oh, what a [D] wonderful [G] time.

Chorus:
So [G] you grab the dust pan and [C] I'll grab the [G] mop,
And [D] you clean the bottom while [G] I clean the top;
Oh, [G] break out the [C] Lestoil and [G] tear up a [Em] rag,
To [D] clean up after....
To [D] clean up after the [G] time.
