You And I Underneath The Moon (A. Frank Willis)

You And I underneath the moon,
By open fire not a lonely room;
Flames are high and the music is low,
Thank you, Japan, for your portable stereo.
There's no noise of heavy traffic around,
Only the birds are making sweet sounds;
Look, there's a star falling from the sky,
No one around just you and I.

You and I underneath the moon,
So much better than a lonely room;
Everybody's got to get away,
Take advantage of Mother Nature's day.
You and I share the most we can,
We got the world in the palm of our hand;
When we're together everything's okay,
And let nothing ever stand in our way.

It's like a dream that could never come true,
Sitting here with someone like you;
I never felt like this before,
Who could ask for anything more?
Let's retire 'cause it's been a long night,
Get some sleep before the morning light;
The moon is slowly fading from the sky,
The sun is rising and the dawn is nigh.

You and I underneath the moon,
So much better than a lonely room;
Everybody's got to get away,
Take advantage of Mother Nature's day.
You and I share the most we can,
We got the world in the palm of our hand;
When we're together everything's okay,
And let nothing ever stand in our way.
