Lois
and I live in the Pacific North West in Washington. We are
country folks and our home is located only 62 miles north of
Seattle, WA and 26 miles south of Bellingham, WA. We are located
right in the heart of Skagit County. On a clear day near sunset
we can view Mt. Baker and Mt. Rainier from our patio deck and Mt.
Olympus from our front yard. In the event you are planning a trip
to this area plan to arrive about April 10 to enjoy the Tulip
Festival. It is breath taking in beauty and aroma. A link to our
Tulips 2002 slide show is available in Gallery 1 on our home
page.
Hobbies and Interests
We enjoy motor home travel and
camping. The first photo is "really us" at another favorite
camping area at Oak Harbor City Park, Oak Harbor, Whidbey Island,
WA. The second picture featuring Mt. Baker in the background was
another of our favorite camping areas at Padilla Bay until the 9 - 11 tragedy caused it's closing. Other interests include
macro and digital photography, compound bow archery for target
practice and my wild flower garden. Lois enjoys gardening and her
flower beds. Busy projects this summer included remodeling the
kitchen, installing a sliding patio door, exterior trim staining,
an exterior water fountain and bird bath, installation of 12-2
NB-W W/G electrical wiring service, new breaker circuits and the
latest outlets designed for use and safety in our home, exterior
wall insulation, building a patio deck and the installation of
maple select 3/4" hardwood plank flooring with a chestnut stain. It is
gorgeous, warm in color and feel and very durable.
The third picture is of Princess
Chilli Pepper, our feline kitty. She is a real good sport about
travel and is a Happy Camper! Our kitty was featured in a kitty
contest on the inter-net and for being only three years old and
entering a contest for the very first time she did extremely well
by placing third among 10 other contestants. She had Grand Paw
(Gene) pawing the keyboard day and night sending reminders for
email friends to vote daily for her. Princess Chilli Pepper owns
everyone in this home.
The fourth photo of four
stitched photos of flowers were photographed in early June while
Lois and I were walking in a residential area near Lake
Washington in Seattle. The lower right one is called Lavender
Azaleas. All pictures on this page were taken with a digital
camera.
Online Life
My favorite is learning about
the latest tools, graphics and stationary for email. Second is
editing and framing pictures taken by macro digital photography
for use on web pages and slide shows. We enjoy sharing neat web
sites with friends and exchanging e-mails. Just moved to the main
burner is learning and writing html code for use in creating
unique and pleasing slide shows and the creation of applets. We
have recently designed 52 Java Applets, some java script mini
shows and 40 (now 55) Fast Loading Slide Shows with pleasing music we
think you will enjoy. Visit us on a regular basis as we are
adding more nature slide-shows of wild animals, waterfalls, forest fires,
exotic birds, fish, butterflies, and wolves.
All we ask is if you like the content of what you view, please
share our gallery with your family, friends, and shut-ins. There are
no pop-up ads to distract you and the content will always be safe
for children to view.
