Dad and Mom Barn Swallow above our patio deck.

Patience Required -Male and Female Barn Swallow Wave File Loading

The hatch happened on June 26, 2003. The incubation time was only 15 days. The sounds you are hearing is the lecture we receive when we sit on the patio deck. Both Mom and Dad Swallow built the nest and each of them took turns sitting on the nest. They both took turns feeding the little ones.

All four babies took flight lessons from Mom and Dad and
left the nest at 11:35 AM on July 14, 2003. Above photo taken several hours before they left.

It really looks empty now 07/14/2003!

We are saving the nest and hope for their return next spring.
