Hey fellows. Do you
remember that Friday night date coming up and you got out
a supply of that "Green Wax", many terry cloth
applicator, wipe and polish cloths and the first thing,
after washing and drying the car, you poured wax on that
hood ornament, then the rest of the car, and last . . .
you poured the wax on and polished that hood ornament one
more time. After all, that was your guide out front for
driving the car . . . day or night in those early dating
years. Now days few cars have a hood ornament, but our
wives have become our driving guide . . . (Grin) . . .
I'm in trouble now!
Hope I bring some memories back of the early 50's with
most of these photos, and a few from a little later. I
took these photos on July 18, 2004, at the Burlington,
WA, "Berry Dairy Days Event". You might enjoy reading my
story of how (with out her knowing it) Martha Stewart
made this show possible . . . (Another Grin) . . . so if
you have time . . . check the story out on Page One at
and near top right.
Midi tune playing: Tootie Fruitie made famous in the
early 50's by Little Richard.
