I Love a Piano

 

If you enjoy listening to piano music;

When I was ten years old
I told my parents
I wanted to play the piano.

We didn't have a piano.
Nobody in my family played.

When I first took lessons
Mrs. Reese was my teacher.
We had paper keyboards
in a class of five students.

 

 

My Daddy found a piano in an
old hotel that was being demolished.
It was an old piano with no insides!

After getting it repaired,
I was ready to begin.

When I was twelve years old
I won a piano at a baseball game!
A beautiful Baldwin Acrosonic!

 

 

I still have that piano and it has
the best sound and touch
of any piano ever.
