In Memory of my Father

I
miss my Dad cause he was a good man.
He
taught me right from wrong and was my best
friend.
We worked,hunted,fished,camped,and had fun together.
He always made me laugh
at least once a day.
It was rare to see
him mad at anyone cause he had one of the
longest fuses i ever saw.
LOL it saved my
bottom a lot when i was young but i did get a smack on the rear once in awhile.
I sure
did'nt do it again LOL.I was always wondering how things worked so i just had to take it
apart ~grin~.
Sometimes Dad had to put it
back together LOL but he always showed me
how.
He was my teacher and to me the
greatest there ever was.
Unlike most
people i was able to tell him i loved him and that is better than losing someone without
ever saying it.
Trust me on that one cause i know first hand.
When ever you can,let
your loved ones know how much you love
them.
You will be glad you did and thats a fact.
I miss my dad but i feel better even if i already knew he knows i loved him at
least i told him.
I know he's proud of his family and he loved us with all his
heart.
He was in the Airforce when i was
born,he was a Aircraft mechanic with a staff
sargent rank.
He really liked fixing
things and i think he could of fixed about
anything that he put his mind to.
He ran a gas station and had a great business going,a
lot of people came to him for repairs.
In
fact he was able to survive 2 floods before
he decided to do something else.
He became an auto mechanic at a Chevrolet
dealership.
He stayed there for a lot of
years until boat repairs caught his
eye.
He worked for the Marina that i'm now working at.
I started here while he was
here.
It was the greatest thing to be
working beside your dad.
He was my
superviser and nope i did'nt get no favors
LOL.
He gave me some real #$&% jobs but
hey he said you gotta start at the bottom if
you want to learn.
And geeeez i learned a
lot LOL.
But i believe i'm a better man
for it cause there is'nt no easy
way.
Learning is a hands on kinda
thing.
To look at my dads hands tells a
lot of the hard work he has done in his
life.
OMG i have my fathers hands with
scars, calluses, and there is a healed broken
bone in there.
For those who don't have
calluses it's like always wearing gloves
LOL.
I would like to run my hand across my wifes cheek and feel her softness just
once.
But hey i should of been a doctor
~grin~
My dad was a true believer in God
and you could find him in church every sunday morning.
I do think my dads life gave him
a place in heaven and i'm sure he's looking
down right now and saying.
"Computers will never replace the reliablity of pen and
paper"
"LOL i know dad"
I miss you a
lot
God Bless You Dad
And I Love
You
