~ Mini Chopper ~
~ The Beginning ~



Hi there, This is Mr Sand aka MrSandman41 aka Ron aka MrSand41 aka who cares.
Ok here's the deal,
I got the bug to build a chopper (custom motorcycle) but one look at the billfold and the bank account said there was no way this thing was gonna happen in my lifetime.
So i thought.....thought some more......thought even more......took 4 tylenol and kept thinking.
Then all of a sudden i heard a loud BOING!
I thought maybe it was a main artery but thank god it was just an idea.
~Whew that was close~
I seen Monster Garage,west coast choppers(best thing to come out of Long Beach since i was born there),and last but not least Junk Yard Wars.
I took a walk around the house and made a mental list of all the treasures i had saved over the years from certain destruction at the hands of the wife.
I am known to make a silk purse out of a sows ear by everyone.
One friend says that if he gave me a gas cap that i could build the car it went too useing what was laying around.
Well i decided to give myself the challenge to make a 2 wheel ride out of what was laying around the house.
So here's how i went about it.
Made a list of stuff needed to build a 2 wheel mode of transport.
1. Engine...... Old Snow thrower
2. Wheels...... Golf Cart and a old bicycle
3. Frame....... Black steel pipe
4. Controls.... Kinda looking at my neighbors motorcycle ~shhhhh dont tell ok?~ lets call it a monster FREEBIE
5. Four 2x6's and one 2x4 for the tank....yes i said tank and you will see it a bit later.


Heres the first thing i found for the engine.
I know it's a snow thrower so why make it into a mini chopper?
I did some soul searching and came up with this story for the wife.
If i got hurt with the snow thrower there would be a mess all over the place.
If i smack a tree with the mini chopper the mess would be more confined.
She smiled and said she kinda would rather have the snow thrower.
Im sure she was joking....i did get that extra insurance?
I really should change the names on the policies LOL.
