SEPTEMBER MORN...

It happened on a September morn,

A week before the day I was born.

What started as a lovely day,

Soon lead to fear and complete dismay.

At first we thought, what a horrific accident had occured.

Never thinking that it was war !

We watched in awe and disbelief,

This must be a movie about killers and thieves.

But when the dust had finally cleared,

The horror was everywhere as we all feared.

In New York, Washington and a PA. field.

Heros were made and lives were sealed.

We now see ourselves in a different light.

We stand stronger and united in our fight.

May God above in his heavenly grace,

Help us to build a better place.

A world of hope, a world of peace...

A world of love with all of the people we meet.

Poem by Barbara Conroy, September, 2001
