Enclosed herewith for Los Angeles is attached a typed copy of a report pertaining to the above-captioned individual which was received by the Bureau from a confidential source. A typed copy of this report is also being transmitted to the New York Office with copies of this letter.

You will note that this report continues an enumeration of organizations with which the captioned individual has reportedly been connected.

It is noted that this individual was to appear in a picture apparently being produced in Hollywood.

The Los Angeles Office is requested to institute investigation concerning Judy Holliday to determine whether she is a member of the Communist Party and, if so, whether a Security Index Card should be prepared.

The New York Office is requested to submit an investigative report setting forth information [word too light to read on my copy] in the files concerning this subject.

Los Angeles will be considered the office of origin until it is determined that the subject is maintaining permanent residence elsewhere.
