THE ATTORNEY GENERAL MEMO

DATE: June 4, 1951

TO: Mr. Tolson

FROM: L.B. Nichols

SUBJECT: [Left blank by Nichols]

[Name censored by the FBI. Known to be the secretary of the Attorney General.] stated that the Attorney General had talked to Judy Holliday over the weekend. He would like to know what kind of record we have on her. I told [Secretary's name censored by the FBI] that the Holliday woman had been connected with numerous front organizations. She pointed out that the Attorney General wanted full details for his own information.

I have asked Mr. Ladd to get up a summary to give the Attorney General on this.

[Secretary's name censored by the FBI] also stated that the Attorney General was interested in knowing what type of an organization the Catholic War Veterans was. I told her that to my knowledge it was a very high-class group and patrioticly American. She stated that no further information was needed on this.
