To quote Monty Python, "now for something completely different." These borders
are for e-mail only, and I first would like to thank some very special people for helping me with developing the correct codes to use them. Chris Cooter, and WatchmanV, worked very hard to get them right. Take a bow guys, you deserve it.
Sizcat, Anastasia10, TIME TRAVELLER, and Purser, for being my guinea pigs. I first had to ask a few good friends to try out the codes to see if it was easy for people with all levels of html knowledge, not only the ones who are very adept at it. It seems to work for all.
If you don't find what you want here, please e-mail me at fdolce@webtv.net, with border-order in the subject line. I will make one for you with whatever graphic you supply.
Before you start, please transload this gif to your own site, if you have one. If not you can use it as is, but I prefer for you to transload.
I would also like to point out that if you have a site of your own, please transload the border itself before using it on your e-mail. Thank you!!
Below, you will find the necessary code for the use of the border followed by a few simple instructions. There are only five areas where you have to fill in the blanks, three of which are signified by question marks.
Put this code in your
signature box.
1 - This border background will not show up correctly if you are posting at a newsgroup, unless you remove the noembed and /noembed tags first.
2 - You MUST remember to put them back for e-mail.
3 - Make sure that your bodybg color is the same as your table bg color.
4 - You have to be careful when you write an e-mail that the text doesn't extend into the border. You have to make your lines shorter.
5 - If you are going to add banners to your e-mail page, they should be no bigger than 300x75.
6 - Last but not least, you won't see the border when you send, the recipient will see it. When you are done, send one to yourself to see it.
There is a background viewer at the bottom of each page of e-borders. If you don't see it, please reload the page, even though the page title shows in the status bar, and the reload warning doesn't show.
After you have found the border of your choice and gotten the URL, click on the code button that you will find at the bottom of each page. It will bring you back here to pick up the code for your sigbox.
You will find this jumpbox on the last page of each category.
