On March 31, 2005 at approximately 9.05am, Terri Schindler-Schiavo lost her nearly 14 day struggle against starvation and dehydration and died at the Hospice Woodside in Pinellas Park, Florida. Terri's family and the volunteers of the Terri Schindler-Schiavo Foundation have vowed to focus the Foundation, named for her, on assisting other desperate families in their efforts to protect vulnerable loved ones.

FACTS YOU MAY NOT KNOW ABOUT TERRI SCHIAVO'S CASE
Michael Schiavo has authority to make all decisions for Terri Schindler Schiavo because he is her court-appointed guardian, not because he is her husband.

Justice For Florida Seniors, Inc.
Our Mission is to make the public aware and outraged about the abuse and fraud of senior citizens and the disabled by court appointed professional guardians. Florida guardianship is a system riddled with abuses now. According to some experts, it will get even worse as baby boomers provide a stream of new victims. "This [guardianship] is an area ripe for fraud and where most fraud abuse has in fact occurred." Karleen F. DeBlaker, Clerk of the Circuit Court, Pinellas County, Florida.

WARNING
Are You Being Targeted For Euthanasia?
The "living will" actually gives permission to hasten your death by denying medical treatment. Euthanasia is not legal in the United States but Mary Therese Helmueller, R.N. shows how it is being done.

A Matter Of Life
The first victims of the Holocaust were not Jews, but the physically and mentally disabled. It seems that the Nazis developed their tactics and honed their murderous skills on those who were least able to resist before trying to exterminate all the European Jews, according to the BBC.

Not Dead Yet
Since 1983, many people with disabilities have opposed the assisted suicide and euthanasia movement. Though often described as compassionate, legalized medical killing is really about a deadly double standard for people with severe disabilities, including both conditions that are labeled terminal and those that are not.

Pope: Chronically Ill Still Have Dignity
The use of a feeding tube for Pope John Paul II, struggling to recover from throat surgery, illustrates a key point of Roman Catholic policy he himself has proclaimed: It is morally necessary to give patients food and water, no matter their condition.

If I End Up Like Terri: An Open Letter To My Wife
...please don't pull my feeding tube. Instead, if at all possible, take me and my tube home, where I can live out my days with you and the kids, and where friends can come and go as they wish.

The new law excludes spouses from making life-sustaining decisions if he or she "is cohabited with another person in the manner of married persons or who has been convicted of any crime of violence."
