What Really Matters Now?
We're the ones left behind.....you and me. Many of us are finding it difficult to move on after the horrific terror attacks. We feel overwhelmed and shocked. This is only natural. We realize we've been living under an illusion about how safe we truly are. We face the threat of further terror attacks and the possibility of war.
On September 11, 2001, there was destruction that had worldwide impact. What will tomorrow bring? Our world leaders do not know.
An awesome flash...
Right Now
We can have "Faith"
Faith isn't anything you can see;
It isn't anything you can touch.
But you can feel it in your heart.
Faith is what keeps you trying
When others would have given up.
It keeps you believing in
The goodness of others
And helps you find it.
Faith is trusting in a power
Greater than yourself
And knowing that whatever happens,
This power will carry you through anything.
It is believing in yourself
And having courage
To stand up for what you believe in.
Faith is
Peace in the midst of a storm,
Determination in the midst
Of adversity,
And safety in the midst of trouble.
For nothing can touch a soul
That is protected by faith.
What Can We do?
We can become educated on the real issues

"You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.' You must do the thing you think you cannot do."
~ Eleanor Roosevelt ~
We Can Remember Those Lost
And Their Families
This Too Shall Pass
If I can endure for this minute
Whatever is happening to me,
No matter how heavy my heart is
Or how dark the moment may be...
If I can remain calm and quiet
With all the world crashing about me,
Secure in the knowledge God loves me
When everyone else seems to doubt me...
If I can but keep on believing
What I know in my heart to be true,
That darkness will fade with the morning
And that this will pass away too...
Then nothing in life can defeat me
For as long as this knowledge remains,
I can suffer whatever is happening
For I know God will break all of the chains...
That are binding me tight in the darkness
And trying to fill me with fear,
For there is no night without dawning
And I know that my morning is near.

Where There Is Love
Where there is love the heart is light,
Where there is love the day is bright,
Where there is love there is a song
To help when things are going wrong...
Where there is love there is a smile
To make all things seem more worthwhile,
Where there is love there's quiet peace,
A tranquil place where turmoils cease...
Love changes darkness into light
And makes the heart take "wingless flight"...
~Helen Steiner Rice~
"A life with Love will have some thorns.
But a life without Love will have no roses."
