you have very good information to start with go to www.rootsweb.com and type in George Washing Saunders. You already know his wife name. Check census and good luck in your search. My Great Grandmother was a Saunders I did not know that until a month ago I sent off for my grandfather's birth certificate because we knew nothing about his mother. She was a Native american also.
